Installation Guide
Get started with AI Chat Transfer in just a few minutes. Follow these simple steps.
Download the Extension
Download the latest version of AI Chat Transfer from the download page or GitHub releases.
Click the "Download ZIP" button on the download page to get the latest release.

Extract the ZIP File
Extract the downloaded ZIP file to a folder on your computer. Remember the folder location.
Right-click the downloaded file and select 'Extract All' (Windows) or double-click it to extract (macOS). Place it somewhere permanent like your Documents or Desktop folder.

Open Extensions Page
Type <code class="px-1.5 py-0.5 rounded bg-white/10 text-cyan-300 text-xs font-mono">chrome://extensions</code> in your browser address bar and press Enter.
You can also access this by clicking the three-dot menu → Extensions → Manage Extensions.

Enable Developer Mode
Toggle the 'Developer mode' switch in the top-right corner of the extensions page.
Developer mode enables the 'Load unpacked' button, which allows you to install extensions from local folders.

Load Unpacked Extension
Click the 'Load unpacked' button that appears after enabling Developer Mode.
A file browser dialog will open. Navigate to the folder where you extracted the extension files.

Select Extension Folder
Browse and select the extracted extension folder. Make sure it contains the manifest.json file.
The folder should contain files like manifest.json, background.js, popup.html, etc. Select the entire folder, not individual files.
